Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was a jurist, social reformer and politician. He is also known as the “Father of the Indian Constitution”. A well-known politician and an eminent jurist, his efforts to eradicate social evils like untouchability and caste restrictions were remarkable. Throughout his life, he fought for the rights of the Dalits and other socially backward classes. Ambedkar was. appointed as India’s first Law Minister in the Cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru. डॉक्टर भीमराव अंबेडकर पहले ऐसे भारतीय हैं जिन्होंने विदेश जाकर अर्थशास्त्र में पीएचडी डिग्री हासिल की। वह स्वतंत्र भारत के कानून मंत्री थे। डॉक्टर अंबेडकर के अंदर कई गुण जैसे सबको साथ लेकर चलना, समाज के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी को निभाना, प्रेम भावना होना, कुछ नया करने की चाह होना । उनके पास 32 डिग्रियां थी और 9 भाषाओं के निपुण थे। उन्होंने हिंदू धर्म से बौद्ध धर्म में अपना धर्म परिवर्तन कर लिया इसके साथ ही साथ कहीं दलितों ने भी अपना धर्म परिवर्तन किया। 6 दिसंबर 1956 उनकी मृत्यु हो गई उन्होंने अपना धर्म परिवर्तन किया था इसलिए उनका अंतिम संस्कार उनके कहे अनुसार ही हुआ वह जब मरे तो वह बुद्ध थे।
